WHY WE DO WHAT WE DO
Connecting People to Rivers and Each Other
We are losing freshwater biodiversity at an alarming rate, largely because we are not connected to the life our rivers contain. We do what we do to foster and facilitate that connection, to stem the rapid loss of freshwater species. But we also need to connect to each other, especially in an age of digital disconnection. Freshwater Journey experiences connect people to rivers and each other. It’s our way of making the world a better place.
WHAT CAN YOU SEE UNDERWATER?
You will see an amazing diversity of vibrant life on Freshwater Journeys trips. Colors that rival those found on tropical coral reefs can be found in our temperate streams. Amazing natural feats like thousand mile spawning migrations of herring and shad, and territorial disputes of bass and sunnies.
